Why it's in the Cabin
A scarce copy (one of only 3000 printed, with only a few available online) of an exhibition catalogue turned art book including poetry, drawings, sketches by Patti Smith. The exhibition, hosted at Galerie Veith Turske in Cologne, showcased multi-media pieces of her original work. In the opening event, Patti Smith performed a live reading of Rimbaud's poems. The dedication to Robert Mapplethorpe, printed in her handwriting, signs this off as a deeply personal project for Smith.
